The successful candidate will plan, execute, analyze, and interpret the results
of troubleshooting experiments of marketed products. The candidate will also
be expected to investigate and recommend alternate technologies that would improve
throughput and product quality, maximize safety in materials handling, and contribute
to cost savings. The essence of the duties will include:
? Providing technical support to failure investigations, troubleshooting, manufacturing
process improvement and technology transfer activities
? Execution of experiments including hands-on involvement during pilot plant
manufacturing
? Designing and executing protocols, evaluating data and preparing technical
reports
? Supporting manufacturing sites with scale up and technology transfer activities
for new and marketed products
? Evaluate and recommend alternate technologies that would improve throughput
and product quality, maximize safety in materials handling, and contribute to
cost savings
? Evaluation of New Technologies
? Handle several projects with minimum supervision, and independently coordinate
one major project
? Provide status and summary reports
A degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or Chemical
Engineering with relevant practical experience is required.
Experience in the areas of pharmaceutical manufacturing, product and process
development, design of experiments and optimization studies, scale-ups, technology
transfers, and trouble shooting of Marketed products. Qualified candidates will
possess the following skill sets: Strong problem solving, analytical, and statistical
skills are desirable; Strong oral and written communication skills, project
management skills and ability to work independently and in team settings; Broad
background and knowledge of unit operations in a manufacturing environment is
required; Proficiency with current good manufacturing practices is essential;
Demonstrated ability to handle several projects with minimum supervision; Occasional
travel to manufacturing sites will be needed; Competency in computer Windows
applications is a plus; Demonstrated aptitude and attitude to get immersed in
the resolution of technical challenges and technical advancements; Demonstrated
ability to plan, implement, and achieve significant, complex goals and objectives.
