Marketing Manager
The Pharmaceutical Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and
coordination of the key marketing activities for a Gynecology drug product.
The role of the group marketing manager is to lead the development and implementation
of the product's strategies and tactics to maximize the profitability of the
product. They are responsible for identifying, evaluating and communicating
market changes, opportunities and challenges to appropriate departments (sales,
R&D, etc). They coordinate the execution of interdepartmental strategies
to support products in areas of pricing and contracting, market research, finance,
sales analysis, legal, and research and development.
The group marketing manager is responsible for various elements of the promotional
strategy, such as: strategic planning and execution of brand promotion including
medical education, publications, public relations, exhibits, etc.
Leads a team of two product managers: activities include goal setting, coaching, motivational techniques, career development and performance evaluation.
Coordinates life cycle management and franchise opportunities specific to product.
With the direction and guidance of the Marketing Director, manages product P & L's including top line sales (net and gross), pricing strategies and expense decisions. Also, creates short-term and long-term sales forecasts including annual plans, periodic latest best estimates, financial updates and the 10-year long range plan.
Coordinates with sales to develop targeting, training, incentive and communication plans to ensure sales force execution and effectiveness.Leads budget planning process and manages budget expenditures to ensure maximum impact.
Identifies and directs market research initiatives critical to business.
Ensures compliance with medical/regulatory and operational guidelines.
A minimum of 7 years of health-care (pharmaceutical) or other relevant business
or scientific experience. Experience should include progressive marketing and
sales experience with at least 3 years of prior experience in pharmaceutical
product marketing or market research.Experience working with at least 4 of the
following skills or functions: therapeutic area of focus; brand marketing; business
planning; sales management; drug development; market research; financial analysis;
regulatory; manufacturing.
